Soooo I just HAD to get one more Vietnamese fix, because who knows what the Vietnamese will be like out in St. Kitts. Tried Tien Thanh this time -- a couple blocks south of Golden Turtle -- and got my Chao Tom (the ethereally delicious shrimp paste on sugarcane) and man it was worth the stop-off and the calories and the walk in the rain and the minimal cost. Love love love me some shrimp on sugarcane. I could literally eat Vietnamese food all day long, every day. And God knows I could eat something different at every meal and still take a LONG time to get through one of those menus!
Now to cook me up some red snapper with fennel and onions and whatever else is in the fridge. And some nice rice perhaps.
Looking longingly at that Niagara Gold...
